The Rose Garden was built in 1995 and is currently owned by a holding company controlled by Portland Trail Blazers owner Paul Allen after a complex series of ownership changes. The Portland Trail Blazers have been the anchor tenant for the Rose Garden since its construction and the Rose Garden currently houses the Portland Winterhawks of the Western Hockey League. Throughout its existence, the Rose Garden has been the home arena of many now-defunct franchises from other sports and the Rose Garden still houses hundreds of indoor events including concerts, conventions, and special events throughout the year.
